Matthew Chapter 24

Jesus left the temple and his disciples came to show him the temple buildings.  JC asked them, don’t you see these things?  Really?  There won’t one stone here that won’t be thrown down!  JC went on up to Mount Olives and had himself a little sit down.  Thos disciples followed him up privately asking, when will this happen?  What is the sign of you coming, and the end of the world.

Jesus tells them, take car that no man deceives you, many will come in my name saying I am Christ, and they will deceive many.  And you will hear about wars and rumors of war, these things must happen, but the end is not yet.  Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, there will be famine, and disease, and earthquakes all over.  These are the beginning of sorrows.   Oh it’s just the beginning, JC, tell us more!

Then you will be afflicted and they will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for my names sake.  And many will be offended and will betray one another, and will hate each other.  False prophets will rise and deceive many.  And wickedness will abound and the love of many will grow cold.  But those who hold out until the end will be saved. 

This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the entire world so everyone can see and finally then the end will com.    When you see the enormous desolation that Daniel the prophet foretold, stand in a holy place, and whoever reads this, let him understand.

Let the people of Judea flee to the mountains. Don’t let those on the roofs come down to take their stuff out of the house.  Don’t let those in the fields return to take their clothes. Woe to the pregnant moms and the ones who still have nursing babies!  You better pray you don’t have to leave in the winter or on the Sabbath!

The will be great suffering, there has never been such suffering, nor will there be again.  The days will be shortened, no flesh will be saved, for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened! If any man says here is Christ, don’t belive it!  There will be false christs, and false prophets, and they will show you great signs and wonders.  If it were possible, they would deceive the elect.  And JC seriously with all due respect, how is that any different than what you are doing?

I have told you before.  If they say to you, he is in the desert, don’t go, If they say he is in the secret chamber, don’t believe them.  As the lightning, comes out of the east and shines to the west, So will be the coming of the son of Man, you know, me, JC.  For wherever the carcass is the eagles will gather.

Right about the suffering, the sun will be darkened, the moon won’t shine, the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will shake. Then I will appear in heaven and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see me coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.   And I will send my angels with a trupet blast and they will gather my elect, from the four winds, form one end of heaven to the other.

Now learn the parable of the fig tree.  Oh JC really after all of that gloom and doom you are throwing a parable of top of things.  Sigh.  When the branch is tender and the leaves grow, you know the summer is near.  So when you see these horrible signs you know what is near, even at the door.   This generation will not pass until all of these things are fulfilled.  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but not my words.  Really?  Because I had always been lead to believe heaven was an eternal thing.  No man, no angels, nobody knows when that day will be except for my father.  

It’s like back in the day, when the people were and eating and drinking and getting married, right until that day that Noe entered the ark (I think he meant Noah) and the flood came and killed all of the people.  That’s how the coming of the Son of man will be. 

Two will be left in the field and one will be taken, and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill and one will be taken and the other left.  Watch, for you don’t know when your Lord will come.  I’m not entirely sure which person is the lucky one… is it good to be taken?

But know this, that if the man of the house had known when the thief would come, he would have watched and not let them break into his house.  So be ready because the Son of man could come at any time.

Who is the faithful, wise servant, whose lord has made ruler of the household to give them meat in due season.  Blesses is the servant whose lord comes home to find him doing just that.  He will make him the ruler of his goods.  But if the servant is evil, his heart will say, My lord delays his coming.  He begins to smile his fellow servants and to eat and drink with the drunks. The lord of that servant will come on a day that the servant isn’t expecting him, and the lord will cut him into pieces and give him to the hypocrites.  There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Okay, JC has been going around telling everyone that will listen that he is the Son of man.  Now he’s referring to the Son of man in the third person and acting like he isn’t on earth here right now.  And the Son of man is going to bring the end of the world…  but why?  Where did this all come from?   Oh JC, you are killing me here.  I want to like you but you have gone dark places.  Too dark for me.
